I love to paint and have been fortunate enough to have sold internationally and have had some of my work exhibited in a local gallery. As well as painting, I love science and have just completed a masters degree in astrophysics. I enjoy horse-riding, ice-skating, cooking and just generally being creative! :)
I haven’t had much time to paint over the past few years due to the amount of work my degree has taken, but I’m starting to paint more now that I have more time… so watch this space.
I work with acrylics on canvas or stretched paper, and my studio is actually my houserabbit’s bedroom lol. She enjoys watching me paint… and occasionally attempting to nibble my paintbrushes!!

Having never studied art, I didn't even know what an artist statement was haha! So I've been doing some research and have finally put something together. Let me know what you think! :)
Artist Statement:
Many people have asked me where I get my inspiration for my paintings. The honest answer is that I don't usually set out to paint something specific. I just put paintbrush to canvas (or paper) and let the art flow from inside of me. To me, every one of my paintings is a kind of self portrait. They are deeply personal and a way to express things that I could never do with words. I think that's what art is - an expression of a person's inner

Back on the scene...

So it's been a few years since I've had time to get much painting done. I guess doing an astrophysics degree is rather work intense (understatement of the century haha!)... not that I minded the astrophysics.
Anyway, so I've decided to start painting again, and I hope to get my reputation up and start selling again.
I've never studied art so hopefully my technique will improve with a bit of time and practice. In the meantime, I hope people will still enjoy my work. :)
I'm hoping to get enough pieces together to get a table at a local art fair - I've never done that before so that's a bit scary, but exciting too!!

wow i like your style...its what i'm into also i haven't seen anyone else doing that...weather thats a good or a bad thing i'll leave that down to you...anyway really cool look forward to seeing more so until then good luck with getting back into the art

I hope they do... well as long as your doing what you want makes you happy it is really satisfying to play with the paint in big sweeps and swirls too way the colours blend and the element of a planned randomness
